SpellLess was born out of a shared frustration and several thousand hours of gameplay accumulated in one apartment.
My project was born within my relationship, at the crossroads of two totally opposite gaming profiles. My boyfriend has been playing since 2012, is Master — in the top 0.05 % of European players — and has accumulated impressive rankings (top 1 EUW and top 6 worldwide on Sett, top 4 EU on Darius). For my part, I started in 2019, I'm an average player, and I support him in the esport circuit as a happiness manager.
Watching him play, I quickly noticed that at the levels he competes at, knowledge matters as much as mechanics. You need to know your matchups to the second, know exactly when an enemy spell comes back, and have the numbers in your head rather than on screen.
My boyfriend wanted a tool to review his top lane matchups. So I decided to take matters into my own hands and develop the entire project entirely on my own.
What started as a small tool became the Cooldown Guesser, filling a gap that no site was addressing correctly. The Flash Timer followed. Today, my ambition is to make SpellLess the perfect exercise collection — as useful at the top of his climb as at the beginning of mine. My boyfriend remains my behind-the-scenes advisor and main tester, but the code is 100 % me.
SpellLess is a work in progress and the roadmap isn't set in stone. If you have an exercise idea, a use case you can't work on elsewhere, or a detail that's missing — say so.
The most common questions. If yours isn't here, add it with a module idea — we'll expand as we go.
